Enjoy 66 inspirational presentations, shows and workshops when Formland Autumn opens its doors in August.

Learn more about roses, find out about the future retail trade, cast your own chocolate, take up yoga - or get a tattoo!

These are just some of the activities visitors to the 65th design and interior fair, Formland, can look forward to. From 18-21 August, MCH Messecenter Herning will host the four-day trade fair, with trends, presentations, workshops, delicacies, chocolate and flowers. Visitors can enjoy plenty of input, ideas and experiences from the wide activities programme, which includes no less than 66 presentations – shows, talks and workshops.

Motivation for everyone

Formland's activities programme kicks-off already on the Thursday, when you among a lot of other things can experience renowned motivation expert Mark Anthony on the SPEAK-UP stage in Hall D with his presentation entitled 'Heartwork - how to burn through instead of burn out.'

“Mark is one of Denmark's most inspiring presenters and motivators - and is considered one of Europe's biggest experts on pep talks and motivation. He delivers his important and relevant message with nerve, presence and a charming sense of humour, so we are really looking forward to welcoming him to Formland Autumn,” says Project Manager, Mai-Britt Risvig Flyholm.

Mark Anthony is known as 'Mr. Motivator', which is also why he will be giving the official opening speech on Thursday morning.

Mess and roses

Whether you want to learn to love mess, or simply find out more about roses, there is ample to gain from the multiple presentations, shows and workshops at Formland.

Every day you can experience Louise Dorph and her tribute to the mess that reflects our lives. Via her new brand 'A Simple Mess', she teaches visitors how cosy mess in the form of games, knick knacks, drawings and weeds in vases can be converted into a pretty and feminine universe.

If you have a weakness for flowers, then gardener Rosa Eskelund shares her secrets about roses, while Bloom K and Bente Halkjær will be teaching visitors about the art of flower arranging. And for those with a sweet tooth, the crew behind the world's master chocolatier, Mikkel Friis-Holm, will be running a chocolate school where visitors can cast their own slices of chocolate.

At the SPEAK-UP stage, you can among others experience exciting presentations from retail designer Susanne Agerbo from Expedit, who will talk about the store of the future, trend reseracher Louise Byg Kongsholm from pej gruppen, who will talk about the future of the retail trade, and retail expert Metter Skovgaard Frich, who  will give a talk on the pop-up paradigm.

If you fancy a treat after a long day at the trade fair, Simple Days Yoga Studio offers daily 20 minute mediations sessions to help clearing your head. If you're feeling brave, you can also visit the tattoo shop ‘Devils Ink’ in Hall E, where tattooists are ready and waiting to give you a personal tattoo.

Get ready for Christmas

Formland Autumn provides plenty of opportunities to get ready for Christmas. One of the fair's activities includes a competition between 25 stores for the most beautifully decorated Christmas window, using the Stelton Christmas Collection. The window decoration takes place from Thursday to Friday, after which visitors and a jury will pick the winning window.

The winning store will be announced on Sunday at 16.00, and will be followed by a prize draw from Stelton for 3 visitors who voted for the winner.

"We are proud to be able to present such an extensive and exciting programme of activities at Formland, from tattoos and yoga to talks about chocolate and future retail trends, interiors and design, and there will without doubt be plenty of inspiration to all design lovers," concludes Mai-Britt Risvig Flyvholm.
