Original, trendy and ‘ONE of a kind’ are the keywords when Formland Spring 2017 opens the doors to the new concept ‘ONE’ on 2-5 February.

When Formland opens its doors to the 66th edition of the design and interior fair on 2-5 February, the industry’s leading players within interior, small furniture, handicrafts and lighting will be celebrated in the new design area ONE in Hall J.

“Formland has unquestionably become the meeting place for professionals in the industry, and we are very proud of and honoured by the support we have received over the past 33 years. Therefore, we are delighted that the industry is now supporting our new concept – ONE – so that we together can take Formland in new and inspiring directions,” says Mia-Britt Risvig Flyvholm, Project Manager at MCH.

The ONE concept has been created in collaboration with trend researcher and lifestyle expert Mads Arlien-Søborg, who in consultation with the Formland team has selected a number of visionary first-movers and high-end brands that exhibit original and innovative design – from small, unique ceramicists to well-established high-end exhibitors like Hay and Louis Poulsen.

As part of ONE, visitors will also find a special upcoming area called ONEcurated by Mads Arlien-Søborg. Here, experimental design students and inspiring talents can display their innovative designs, prototypes and creative ideas.

High expectations for ONE

Among the exhibitors who have been selected to be part of ONE, there is both a high sense of excitement and high expectations about being part of the new and attractive concept at Formland Spring:

“We’re really looking forward to being part of ONE. We have high expectations for the new area, but we believe that Formland can live up to all of them. It is now three and a half years ago that we were last at Formland, so we’re very excited about returning to the fair,” says Lotte Fynboe, designer and owner of OYOY Living Design.

In addition to OYOY Living Design, visitors will also find the design company Walnut Street, which brings five brands to ONE: L:A Bruket, Yard Etc, By Wirth, Strups and Linedyr. They look forward to being part of the new design area:

“We have participated at Formland for quite a few years, and now that Formland is the only Danish platform where we can present our products, it has become even more attractive for us to be seen at Formland in February so that we can attract a lot of customers early on in the season,” says Christian Vedel Egly, partner in Walnut Street, adding:

“We hope that ONE will be a particularly appealing area with brands that match the same segments and the same atmosphere with the same high design requirements for displays and set-ups. It has often been a success when Mads Arlien-Søborg has created something at Formland, so we have every expectation that this will be the case again.”
