Formland was the meeting place for the design and interior industry on 2-5 February in MCH Messecenter Herning.

The 66th edition of the trade fair had plenty of inspiration to offer, including 462 lively exhibitors and the successful ONE innovation area.

Formland ended on Sunday following four full days focusing on talent and trends in the interior and design industry. 462 exhibitors participated with a wealth of new products and exciting collections, while industry leaders presented at daily workshops in THE COMMON SENSE SHOP and on the SPEAK UP presentation stage. The new design area, ONE, and the entrepreneurs’ area known as CREATORS COMMUNITY, also attracted numerous visitors, all of whom wanted to get a closer look at some unique exhibitors and budding talent.

One person who left brimming with inspiration was CEO and co-owner of Illums Bolighus in Aarhus, Susie Harboe Kristensen, who found 10 new suppliers, as well as some new ideas:

"It's always a pleasure coming to Formland, but the new ONE area was a breath of fresh air. It was both innovative and pleasantly surprising, yet very in line with our style, so I was really inspired," said Susie.

Visitors included Jørgen Højrup Jensen from Kop og Kande in Farsø and Aars. He spent two days at Formland buying products for his stores and learning about current trends:

"Formland is a very inspiring trade fair. It shows you where trends are heading; you also get to touch and feel the products and to nurture your network. We have been coming here for 28 years, so it's become a bit of a tradition," said Jørgen.

Excited exhibitors

Optimism was high among exhibitors in this 66th edition of Formland. Design company Hübsch has been a regular exhibitor since the company’s foundation in 2010, and was extremely satisfied after a successful few days:

"For us, Formland is an important platform for getting out there and meeting our Danish customers. It's a unique opportunity to meet customers face to face and to let them touch and feel our products. That's why we've already booked a stand for the autumn fair," said Daniel Henriksen, Marketing Manager and co-owner of Hübsch.

Rikki Tikki Company, which presented seven brands at this season’s Formland, is also a regular at the fair, and they too enjoyed a successful event:

"Formland is a fantastic meeting place. We've had some busy days, where everyone was booked up. It's been the best spring trade fair for years," said Kirsten Sander Iversen, Sales Director for Rikki Tikki Company.

High level of professional quality

There was gratitude among the MCH management team following the success of the fair:

"I'm delighted with all the positive feedback, both from exhibitors and visitors, and I'm grateful for the entire industry helping to create such a brilliant and inspiring event with so much innovation and a high level or professional quality," said Georg Sørensen, CEO of MCH A/S.

10,610 industry people, from 29 different countries, visited Formland Spring 2017.

The next Formland takes place from Thursday 17 August - Sunday 20 August 2017, in MCH Messecenter Herning.
