Never a dull moment with Sebastian Jansson

Sebastian Jansson’s design was part of the Finnish exhibition in during Milan Design Week. His sculptural object, Solveig, on show symbolizes the eternal light of the sun in a desert. It was a precise reflection of the title of the exhibition: Wild, weird and wonderful. The sculpture has a frame in solid oak, with inserts of coloured glass and iridescent acrylic. The natural daylight is the last material of the sculpture.

Apart from this sculptural work, Sebastion Jonsson has co-operated with a wide range of established brands and been a part of numerous projects.

Sebastian Jonsson is a designer to follow amongst the Finns, who presented themselves as “forest people, which is reflected in our behaviour, how we live, what we eat and do.”

Nordic Design News will tune in for more design news from the land of the thousand lakes.
