The number one soccer player as a designer

The 34-year old, global sports superstar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, enters the business of athleisure, the lifestyle of people wearing training clothes as fashion.

During the 2016 UEFA European Championship, in which Ibrahimovic captains Sweden, the news of the training wear brand A-Z has just been released. The sports brand is the result of a joint venture of Swedish football genius Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Petter Varner, head of the Norwegian clothing giant Varner, and the ownership of the brand is 50/50. The result is a stretch-to fit sports line in primarily dark colours for men and kids. But just for starters, a line for women is on its way.

Naturally, Zlatan, who has previously been featured in Volvos commercial for its models XC70 and V90 , is now also voicing the slogan in the video for A-Z: “Sweat, cry, scream, bleed.” So much for “Just do It”. A-Z refers to where you start and where you finish. The slogan indicates what is in between A-Z, the work for reaching your goal. It refers to the sacrifice. “Its not about the gear, its about the sweat.”
