- You could compare furniture design to Jazz music

Bruunmunch & Simonsen is presenting a brand new piece of furniture from their collaboration: The Link table.

Claus C. Simonsen as a licensed architect from School of Architecture in Aarhus and has, for several years, designed buildings, in all scales, both in Denmark and abroad, mostly for Henning Larsen Architects in Copenhagen. As a furniture-designer with his own brand Generous Design, he's worked with Normann Copenhagen, Softline and Eilersen and has also created lamps for Frandsen Lighting.

Now, he's debuting a series of marble tables in together with design company Bruunmunch.

Bruunmunch, established by Henrik J. Bruun and Jacob S. Munch, aims to create new design in close cooperation with designers, Danish suppliers and skilled cabinetmakers. Bruunmunchs furniture is Danish in expression, design and production, creating great synergies in the collaboration with Claus C. Simonsen.

- In 2014, Simonsen started his cooperation with Bruunmunch to create more new products under the name Bruunmunch and Simonsen, Play chair and Link table are the first results of this fruitful cooperation, says Jacob S. Munch.

Link table is available in two sizes, with a marble table top and black lacquered legs contrasting the mable top. The selection of the marble top is Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina and Verde Guatemala.

The fruitful collaboration between the two brands will hopefully bring even more exciting news in the future.

- You could compare furniture design to Jazz music, where you improvise over jazz standards. As a furniture designer you also improvise over standards, to create furniture which is both well proportioned, innovative and timeless. But as in Jazz, music is created only when playing together, even if you are a soloist, says Claus C. Simonsen.
