Sophisticated simplicity

Mini-collection Posh by Sofakompagniet is based in aesthetics and velvet

Winter 16/17 bids poetic sofa Ashta a warm welcome at Danish design firm Sofakompagniet. Upholstered in deep and dramatic Safira Dark Grey velvet, it radiates exclusivity, and the warm colors and velvety textile is reminiscent of the 1001 Arabian Nights.

- Asthas form is undoubtedly Danish, but she is inspired by the Middle East's bulky trends, with their intense, rich fabrics and beautiful brass details, says the designer behind sofa, Cathrine Rudolph.

Astha is part of the mini-collection Posh, inspired by the theme: Sophisticated simplicity. The collection also includes a new coffee table; Nelly, tabletop in walnut and brass legs, designed by Malene Small Lund.

- My style is simple and Scandinavian, and I love to combine today's trends. Nelly combines, for me, the raw with the luxurious in a beautifully understated luxury. She is simple, but with splendid detail, says designer Malene Small Lund.

Besides furniture the collection will also contain a new pillow series; Posh. The cushions are in velvet and come in colors Rust Fungi, Dark Green, Dark Grey, Mustard and Petro.
