Multifunctional furniture with longevity

By Kliklap expands their collection with two pieces of furniture with many more uses

We have become more and more courageous when it comes to putting our own touch on the interior of our homes, and it requires a different approach to furniture design. Our furniture should be able to be moved or used in several ways - for example, if we live in small spaces.

In the wake of this trend, By Klipklap launches two new designs by Charlotte Høncke in autumn 2017. The furniture is an extension of By Klipklap's growing range of furniture for the entire home.

- In the way we live today, it makes great sense for the consumer to go for multi-purpose furniture - such as the KK Bench, where the bench turns into a table by removing the pillow, while giving the furniture a longer lifetime, so that they can be used in different rooms in several ways, explains furniture designer Charlotte Høncke.

The two new pieces are made of bent veneer, which is a very difficult technique. Therefore, the development has taken a long time, and the factory has, among other things, had to construct a special tool exclusively for these pieces, in order to live up to Klipklap's stringent craftsmanship requirements.

From garden to hall
KK Console Table is the small extra piece of furniture that gives your home character. A long-legged console table that can accommodate everything from an atmospheric planting garden to the home hall.

On one side of the table there is a small compartment where you can store small items, such as keys and gloves. The surface of the lid is lined with textiles, so it feels soft and supple and is suitable for placing things on without sliding around. You can of course choose the same kind of fabric for the console table lid as for the By Klipklap KK Daybed to create consistency in the interior.

Daybed in mini format
- KK Bench is a kind of daybed in mini format. The bench has the same multifunctional details as the daybed, instead you can simply move the pillow and use the bench as a table, says Charlotte Høncke.

Use the KK Bench at the end of the bed in the bedroom,as a bench with a mirror in the entrance hall or as a multifunctional coffee table in the small living room - the pillow is available in several colors, so there is ample opportunity to play designer yourself.
