Urban furniture from Wegner

Getama is experiencing a growing demand for sleek, elegant furniture - cue the classics from Wegner

The demand for sleek, elegant and lightweight furniture has never been greater. That's why Getama now relaunches one of Wegner's collections, GE 240, as its splendid form and fine woodwork match the urbanization in design.

With a body in pure oak, GE 240 is a great display of Wegner's fine flair for carpentry and feel for the structure of the wood. Getama has chosen to relaunch the entire collection consisting of sofa, armchair and pouf.

Refined carpentry
It's the carpenters' fine woodwork and Wegner's slim detail and fine lines that carry the entire collection, as each piece of wood contains several shapes, expressions and thicknesses.

Whether the GE 240 is seen from the back or from the front, the oak tree is visible and a prominent part of the design itself. How slim slats of wood form the back, it is in particular the rounded shape of the armrests, which makes this design stand out.

It's not all of Getama's carpenters who are fond of producing GE 240, because its high complexity requires a cabinetmaker with some experience and ingenuity.

The GE 240 consists of a high-quality foam seat and backrest with a removable cover, so it's easy to replace if the need arises. Getama has chosen to launch the collection in Kvadrat's new textile Fiord, with buttons in natural-colored senegal leather from Sørensen Læder.

GE 240 is both carved and padded at Getamas own factory in Gedsted and will be in stock from August.
