The Runway Issue is live

Normann Copenhagen launches new showroom exhibition

Normann Copenhagen have opened the doors to their third major exhibition in the showroom in Copenhagen - and this time, it’s showtime!

A dazzling sapphire yellow runway winds around the 1,700 m2 showroom, drawing the gaze into an astounding world of imaginative exhibits.

Using the fashion world’s runway show as a source of inspiration, the exhibition “The Runway Issue” presents everything from sofas to cups in creative unity, on a single long podium.

With an entourage of bouclé and velvet, shine and volume, the winds of autumn have blown into the Normann Copenhagen showroom. The color range du jour is earthy and alluring: Soft fawn and gleaming sapphire yellow blend into warm terracotta and deep cocoa in the show’s medley of artsy compositions, ‘70s glamour and timeless classics.

An audacious show scenery of sky-high arrangements, oversized buckled up foam blocks and devouring gold streams, combined with the classicist grandeur of the old cinema hall, provide the frame for an extraordinary experience.

VIP-worthy front row seating, a backstage area kept white on white, and details like clothes rails and staff backstage passes complete the narrative. The scene is set for a runway show in all its glitz, but the typical transience has dissolved. The spectacle has been put on pause, allowing the audience to take a step up and explore the looks and pieces.

The runway stretches all the way down into the downstairs gallery, where one thing is crystal clear: yellow is the new pink. The experimental room, whose previous pink look has been exposed in many an Instagram feed, has transformed into an enticing golden cave. Enter into a treasure chest of lit lamps that shine among fantastic and devouring streams of gold.
