Bolia presents record-breaking profits

The award winning design chain presents a new record top- and bottom line for the financial year 2016/17.

Total international revenue increased by 18% compared with the previous year and exceeded DKK 800 million before tax, and raising earnings for the year up to DKK 70,5 million before tax, against DKK 66 million the year before.

During the financial year, Bolia has created more than 100 new jobs, developed over 250 new interior designs and invested in the expansion of design stores in new markets such as Holland, Switzerland, Belgium and Austria.

- We have had another exciting, fun and successful year in Bolia and will continue to explore the creativity of the new year so that we can create new beautiful designs and inspiring surroundings for our customers around the world. For the seventh consecutive year, we have had double-digit growth rates, but our global potential is still infinitely large, says Lars Lyse Hansen, CEO of

- That's why we, along with our own physical and digital expansion, are also establishing cooperation with skilled global dealers and developing the new exciting collab with the world's largest office equipment company, Steelcase. We are a design company that wants to compete with the world's absolute elite, so even if we increase our international expansion rate, quality will always be priority over quantity, he adds.

This spring, Bolia will open its first designer store in France at an exclusive address in the heart of Paris, which will mark the start of a number of new future designer stores in all major French cities.

The design chain has 51 stores in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria, Webshops in 27 European countries, and more than 200 dealers in 34 countries around the world.

Bolia, in collaboration with more than 40 international designers, develops two annual collections consisting of more than 300 new pieces of furniture and interior design. All furniture is handled in Europe according to customers' specific wishes and needs.
